Tomorrow Is The Big Day!

Tomorrow is my first official day as a Store Manager! I checked it out today, and it's for sure a very quirky store. Lots of back walkways and hidden nooks. It definitely has lots of character.

I'm starting to get very excited about it. So excited that I think I'm going to go to bed in a little while. :) I have to be at my DM's office at 10am, then it's off to the Theater! I'm also excited about learning more about that area of town.

My last day at Deerbrook was very bittersweet. I think that most of them were really sad to see me go. There were tears, but I know in my heart that this is the best move for me.

My weekend was a mish-mash of really cool stuff and really sucky stuff. I'll talk about the cool stuff now, and maybe I'll post about the sucky stuff later. The sucky stuff REALLY sucked. But anyways...First cool thing was that Jennifer took me out to dinner on Friday at Babins. It was a lot of fun! Then last night, my family threw me a little bit of a party to celebrate my promotion. My Aunt and Uncle even drove down from Dallas to surprise me! It was cool. It turned out to be a bigger deal than I expected, and it was really fun. There was even a cake! Everyone got along and seemed to have a good time. It was also kind of cool because everyone really noticed that I had lost weight. They made me feel really good about myself, and they made me feel really loved.

Another really cool thing that happened this weekend was that I found out that apparantly I overpaid my cable bill by a cool $100. So, I don't owe anything this month! Yay!! Since I didn't spend anytime balancing my budget this weekend, I need to really take a look at it when I get home from my job as STORE MANAGER tomorrow. :)

I'll try to post tomorrow night to let everyone know about my first day. Here's to hoping everyone has a great week!! Cheers!!

Last Day.

It's about 11:30pm and I'm about to hit the sack. Tomorrow, I go into work at Deerbrook for the last time as an Assistant Store Manager. I'm getting kinda sad.

Tomorrow I have a feeling there will be lots of tears for me.

Question.

Has anyone seen "Knocked Up"?

Is it good? I want to see it so bad, and I totally don't want it to suck.

Dancing With the Stars

Here are my predictions for this season:

Top Three

The Soap Star (Cameron Matheson)
The Race Car Driver (Helio Something)
The Cheetah Girl (Sabrina Something...She's cute and pudgy so I automatically like her)

First One To Be Eliminated

The Sports Illustrated Model (Don't know her name, but I'll be sad to see her go because her partner Alex is HOTTT)

The One Who Really Wants To Be Voted Off Because He's Old But The Fans Keep Voting For Him So He Can't Leave

Wayne Newton (okay...I know HIS name!)

The One Who Gets Voted Off Even Though They're Good Because Wayne Newton Is Getting All The Votes

The Boxer

The One Who Is Most Annoying

The Male Model

The One I'll Hate To See Go

Mark Cuban

Chad Vader Strikes Again

Okay...Do yourself a favor and watch these. Watch them NOW. In order!

Hot! Hot! Hot!

I came home to a broken AC. After an examination, I realized that it had frozen up. This sucks.

It's like 80° in my apartment. I have the fan turned on, so hopefully that will speed up the melting??

I didn't get home from work until pretty late tonight. Our cafe was really slow to close, so I didn't leave until 11pm. Then, there was a HUGE accident on Jones Road, and they shut down the entire road. So, we all had to turn around. I tried to take that side road (the one that goes by the Library and then thru the subdivision), but we got halfway through and there were more cops in front of this house taking up the entire street and no one could get through that way either. So, I turned around AGAIN and ended up going down Grant. I finally got home a little after midnight.

I took Puddy out and he took FOREVER. Usually he's pretty fast, but not tonight! I finally got back into my apartment for the evening a little past 12:30am.

And it's HOT in here!

This reminds me of a story about me that my friend Tracy always loved. When I lived in my ghetto apartment, I had AC problems ALL the time. It was horrible. The AC thingee was located in the ceiling in the bathroom. When it would mess up, it would leak through the panel in the ceiling. It was awful. Nothing like waking up in the middle of the night to what you think is rain, then come to find out it's water pouring through your ceiling in the bathroom. Anyways...I came home from work one afternoon in the summer, and the AC had gone out again. Facing West, that apartment got hot enough in the afternoon when the AC was working properly, so you can imagine how hot it was in there. I had been to the store because I was craving sloppy joes. So, I stripped down to my underwear, took off my bra, and since I couldn't cook naked, I put on an old man's undershirt (wife-beater, anyone?).

So there I was, sitting in front of the TV, bra-less, eating a sloppy joe off of a TV tray, wearing underwear and a wife-beater. Now that's class!!

Ugh. Hopefully this problem will be fixed tomorrow.

Shows I'll Be Recording

Of course, the obvious:

"The Office"
"Dancing With the Stars"
"Survivor" (since I watched the first one)
"GhostHunters"
"Project Runway"

Then, some other new shows:

"Dirty Sexy Money"
"Big Shots"
"Private Practice"

What else?? What else should I record with my new fantastic DVR?

Boing! Boing!

I couldn't take it anymore. I was tired of being hungry and sober. So, on the way home, I stopped at Walmart and decided to (possibly) bounce a check.

Totino's pizza's for $1.00 each, 2 other frozen dinners for a buck a piece to take to work with me over the next two days, some off-brand grated cheese, some flour tortillas, and some beer.

A New Journey

Well, today has been a heck of a day. The Manager's Meeting this morning was very bittersweet for me, but I told myself I wasn't going to cry and I didn't. I'm saving all of the tears for Friday.

They got me a cake, which was very yummy, and they also got me a special going away present.

I love this bag! And it's big enough to hold my laptop! There were also some add-on goodies, like a card holder and some really cool colored pens. I love office supplies, and Angy and Jacques really knew what they were doing when they picked everything out for me.

I'm ready to hit the ground running. I have a new bag, a new phone, and some new pens!! There's no stopping me now!

I think this week might be kind of hard for me at Deerbrook. In the past, whenever managers or employees have moved on, I've always taken on the attitude of "I'm happy for you and I hope you have great luck in the future. You're great! Now, move out of my way because I have a store to run and you're just taking up space." So, that's what I feel like. I feel like I'm just biding my time until October 1, and until then I'm just drawing it out and keeping the current staff from moving on. I know it's kind of weird, but it's how I feel.

It's a weird time for Deerbrook. Jacques and Emma are cafe training for the next two weeks, and I probably won't be able to work with either one of them before I leave. Our Merchandise Managers are about to switch up assignments a bit, an no one knows how they're changing. So, I'm being questioned about certain changes the store is going through, and I'm unable to answer! Plus, you have my replacement in the mix. Anyway, I just feel like I'm unable to help.

But that's not stopping me from getting excited about my future! I've been pretty unhappy with my professional life for the past year or so. Now, I think it's about to get on track. My personal life is still as fucked up as it ever was, but now maybe I can focus on my new store and my new job, and hopefully all of my personal bullshit will take care of itself. You know, I had a really good run with my personal life. Everything was good for many, many years actually. I remember thinking at one point a couple of years ago "Wow! For the first time ever I really feel HAPPY!" Well, I guess I was due an ugly spot.

I'm choosing to believe that I'm on the right track to happiness again. I've achieved my next goal as far as work goes, and I've lost weight. So, I'm just going to keep on keepin' on and we'll see where I end up, eh?

My Last Monday

I'm about to leave to go to work. Today will be my last Monday at my current store, which means today will be my last Managers Meeting. That, along with the general state that I've been in the past couple of days, means that there will probably be tears sometime today. And they'll probably be mine.

It'll be a long day, too. I'm going in a little bit early since we are starting right at 7am. Angy has an appointment this afternoon, so that means I'll be there until 4:30, when the closer comes in. When I get to my new store that means I'll be doing the long shift every Monday. It's a small price to pay for the morale it builds.

Well, I need to get going. Hope today, and this week, turn out to be good. Hey, "Dancing With the Stars" premieres tonight, so today can't be all that bad!!

September 23, 2007

$$$$$$

My last post has gotten me thinking....We've all gone through the various stages of being broke. I hit my limit the past few days when I realized I didn't have ANY money for booze. I also know it's bad news when I run out of cheese. I mean, I ALWAYS have cheese!! As long as I have cheese and bread, I can survive. It's been a very depressing week indeed. And it totally shouldn't have been given my promotion and all!

So, my question to all of you is: "What point is that that you really FEEL the broke-ness?"

You know the feeling. The "I've managed to somehow pay everyone I had to this month but somehow that leaves me no money for food" feeling.

It sucks. Totally.

Another Saturday Night.

This should be a testament of how exactly broke I really am. It is almost 3am, I'm still awake, and I'm not drunk. What's wrong with this picture?

I've spent the evening cleaning my apartment, doing laundry, playing with Puddy, and messing around with my new phone and my new DVR. I slept REALLY late today, which was a by-product of staying up really late on Thursday night (like 5am), then having to get up at 9am so I could train Angy on Workload Planning (work talk...), then staying up really late Friday night (Aby and Stephen didn't get to Ken's until almost 10pm last night!), so I guess that's why I'm still awake now. Although, right now I'm STARVING, and my refridgerator is a dismal place indeed:

So, maybe I'll make myself some pancakes. Or maybe some bacon. I just don't know. I don't even have any Advil PM to make me just go to sleep.

Wow, how pathetic am I?

Halp!

This piece of equipment came with my phone. I have no idea what it's for. Anyone know??

September 21, 2007

And On The Eighth Day...

...the DVR was invented!

When I got home from work tonight, I watched the first episode of "Survivor: China".

I haven't watched "Survivor" in a looooong time. But now that I have the DVR, I'm all for it!

The episode was actually pretty good. I hadn't read any of the spoilers or anything, so I had no idea that a WWE Diva would be one of the contestants. Plus, there is a gay, Mormon, flight attendant. What more could you ask for?!?! It still surprises me that contestants still say on the first couple of episodes, "I had no idea that it would be this hard." WTF?!?! Have you not WATCHED the other episodes? You want to know what it would be like on "Survivor"? Go sit in your backyard for 39 days straight without eating anything other than bugs. That, my friend, would be a pleasant experience compared to what I imagine would happen if you were a contestant. I mean, COME ON!! IT'S GONNA SUCK!! AND IT'S GONNA SUCK HARDER THAN ANYTHING YOU'VE EVER KNOWN!! Am I the only one who gets this? It makes me wonder why this show is still on. I know it's for a million bucks and stuff, but is it really worth it? I think that the show is missing an opportunity here for a diet book. At this point, the only reason I would go on Survivor would be so that it was guaranteed I would lose weight. (and maybe I could win the cool mill...)

So, I hope that I can talk someone into watching it with me so I can talk about it with someone! Any takers out there?!?!

"Top Chef" is almost over. :( I won't spoil it for anyone (Willie and Julie), but I'm really looking forward to the (2 part) finale. (Willie and Jules: let me know when you watch it so I can post freely!)

However, the new season of "Project Runway" should be coming on soon....plus all of the other groovy shows I can record now!!

Current Bill From Verizon

Total Text Messages Allowed On Plan: 100

Total Text Messages Reflected On Bill: 282

Really really glad I finally signed up for unlimited texting.

And I should get my new pink RAZR phone tomorrow! Yay!

Edited to add: It's not my fault I like to text boys.

Disturbed.

Dear Jennifer (aka My Super Charmed Life),

Please update your blog. The bunny-mouse shoes scare the beejeezus out of me when I go to your site. They are def not charming.

Thanks,
Tiff

More Scanning Fun!

This is a picture that Aby colored for me over the Summer.

September 18, 2007

Weird, Wacky Fun

Okay, some may find this image very disturbing, but I just figured out how to use my printer as a scanner, and this was the picture I scanned. In the words of an ex-manager, "Clifford on the toilet, not funny. Clifford on the toilet reading Dog Fancy, FUNNY!"

Hello, Television!

Today I took my broken DVR to the Comcast place and traded it in. I have no idea why I didn't do this a long time ago. So, I spent part of the afternoon setting the new one to record all of the up and coming shows. "The Office", "Dancing With the Stars", "Top Chef", and yes, even "Survivor: China". I'm pretty sure there is TONS of other stuff I want to record.

I finally finished up all of my reviews today. I technically only had one left, but I had to get them all proofed and printed out and stuff. There are a couple more things I want to do before I leave this store, but at least now I can cross this off my list!

I also got a new phone today. Well, really I ordered a new phone today. It's pink and I really really wanted it. Plus, it was free when I renewed my contract, so there ya go. I had to get a better texting plan since apparently I'm a texting fiend now. I was only allowed 100 messages, and that just WASN'T enough!

I wanted to get my closet cleaned out today, but that didn't happen. At least I got SOME things accomplished!

September 17, 2007

I See An Emmy In Bret's Future....

Crazy Lacey FINALLY got kicked off of "Rock of Love"! YAY!

I'm so pathetic.

(I didn't actually SEE the show, but I'm gonna watch it when it re-airs tonight!)

Hate.

Maybe it means I'm getting old. Maybe it means I'm a loser. Maybe it means I'm not getting any. I don't know. What I DO know is that I HATE WHEN NICK AT NITE FUCKS WITH THE LINEUP!

I started watching Nick at Night a loooong time ago when I was in probably high school. Nickelodeon had just started the whole "all night" thing (before that they went off the air at like ten or eleven), and they showed things like "The Donna Reed Show" and "Mr. Ed". That progressed, and soon they were in to "Green Acres", "Bewitched", "The Bob Newhart Show", "Happy Days", "Three's Company", and "Taxi". Then they started "Roseanne", "The Cosby Show", and "The Fresh Prince of Bellaire". So, for the past year or so, I've developed a whole bedtime routine surrounded by the shows on this channel.

Well, fasten your seatbelts, because Nick has now added "Home Improvement" and "The George Lopez Show" to it's lineup. Now, I did think that "Home Improvement" was funny in it's time, and I watched it in syndication, but it does NOT belong on Nick at Nite!!! And neither does the Lopez show. Jesus, it wasn't THAT long ago that the Lopez show was on prime-time!!

So, really, we have two things at work here. First and foremost, I don't like my routine changed. Secondly, I'm don't feel old enough to have shows that were prime-time while I was in my late twenties appear on Nick at Nite.

Ugh. I'm going to bed with the TV off. At least for tonight, that is. I have a bad feeling that I'm about to start enjoying George Lopez.

You Could Make A Killing...

I read this really interesting, funny thing on another blog called Dear Life. It's hilarious, and I totally agree with every word:

Dear Text Messaging:

I love you dearly, which is why I have an unlimited amount of you. However, I do not enjoy the following things:

1. Textual Frustration, aka, when people don't text back immediately (or at all, if you are my crush)

2. Sent Items Log - there's really no need to keep a record of the ridiculous shit I send to objects of affection slash psychosis while binge-drinking. (actually, if you could have some kind of alcohol sensor to keep me from sending those at all that'd be fine, too.)

3. SMS memory full message - just have more memory already b/c I'm NOT deleting the ones from when I got arrested for not paying that cabbie his $5 fare (there are like 3 marriage proposals on there and I might need to cash those in someday)

4. Predictive Text that spells words like "Ashley" and "bitch." I mean, really. B/c Ashlex and citag ARE words?!?!? WTF is that.

Okay, that's really it. Otherwise, I'm pretty happy with you b/c you make it possible for me to never ever talk to anyone on the phone ever. And to also talk about people when they are sitting right next to me and laugh inside at how I am making fun of them and they don't even know.

Cool,
b

Drunk text messaging is a bad, bad, thing. Also, I'm going to have to change my cell plan because last month I went over my text limit and my bill went from $54.00 to $70.00. Not cool. And since I had to go online and research new plans, I want to buy a new phone. See? Text messaging will only get you in trouble!!

He Brought Sexy Back

Today I watched some of the Justin Timberlake concert that was on HBO earlier this month. It's on my HBO On Demand. He looked really, really good, but I thought it was kinda boring. Anyone else see it?

These are two really funny clips...I can't get enough!!

Hello Again!

Webfetti.com

Ah....Sunday!

It's been awhile since I posted. My apologies! I've had a pretty eventful week.

The weather here is absolutely beautiful today. It's still kind of hot, but the humidity is very low and there's a little bit of a breeze. I think it's supposed to get down to like 66° tonight or something. I can't wait until it gets cooler! It was actually nice taking Puddy out earlier today.

So, about the week I've had...I finally received a promotion at work. Yes, they finally made me a Store Manager. The timing kind of sucked since it was to late for me to go to the Store Manager Conference in Florida, but I think I'm okay with that. I can't imagine having to get ready to go to Florida for a week on only a couple days notice.

I'm very excited, and I'm ready to start. However, my official start date isn't until October 1. I have all sorts of things going through my head. Mostly I'm concerned about making sure the transition is easy for everyone. Oh, and I still have one more review to write. I'm just coming up a total blank on this one. Right now, I feel terrible that it isn't complete yet, so that makes it hard to concentrate on writing it, which make me feel worse, and so on and so on! Sigh. Well, it'll be done by the end of this week. No excuses.

Another thing that totally sucks is that I'm totally poor. Really poor.

I did decide to take my DVR in to get it repaired, and I'm looking forward to recording tons of shows this fall! I've just been so lazy the past YEAR, I haven't bothered to get it fixed. On my day off this week I'm gonna take it in. I have to have something to record "The Office"!

Anywhoo...That's about it for now. I'll be mucho busy the next two weeks, and then probably REALLY busy after that, but I'm looking forward to it. I'll still try to find time to post!!

September 9, 2007

Since I haven't made a special Halloween CD in the past two years, I've decided to make a "double album" this season! Does anyone have any suggestions? The songs don't have to be of an obvious Halloween nature, but they should at least allude to something associated with the holiday. For instance, some of my past compilations have included "Tubular Bells", "Psycho Killer", "Sympathy for the Devil", "Haunted When the Minutes Drag", "I Want Candy", etc...

So, anyone have any ideas?? It's really fun when you get on a roll! Send me your thoughts/ideas, and I'll send everyone a copy when it's done!

Do You Hear the Sleighbells Ringing? Didn't Think So.

We're starting to get Christmas books in at the store. It makes me want to vomit.

I'm not ready for the Holidays, and, in my world, they're almost here. I know it's just the beginning of September, but before you know it it's going to be Halloween. Then Thanksgiving. Then Christmas. I really need to decide what I want to do about my job. I can do one of two things. I can actively search for another job, or I can suck it up and try to have fun at my current job and wait for this "promotion" that's been more or less promised to me in February/March 2008. What do I do? I just don't know. Every year I tell myself that I will NOT work another Christmas at Deerbrook. Oh well.

I think Christmas at Deerbrook this year will be much better than last year. We're in a much better position payroll wise, so it shouldn't be too too stressful.

Anyways...You know what I AM ready for? A COLD FRONT!! I love the fall. I love it when the humidity kind of goes away, there's a strong breeze that's a little bit chilly, and the sky is a totally brilliant blue.

Sigh.

An Open Letter To Visitors

Hi! Welcome to my blog!

I'll get straight to the point.

Do I know you? Are you one of the approximate 6 people I know care enough to read this everyday? If not, then PLEASE leave a comment!

See, I put this map thingy on here almost a month ago, and it's showing hits from all over the freaking place! Now, I do have the tendency to be naive, and the map might not be all that "truthful", but I'm just curious.

I'm very interested in who is reading and where they are! So, let me know! We might could become BFF's!!! (Okay, probs not, but still!)

Totally,
Tiff

PS...That is, unless you are going to tell me that I suck and you hate me. Um, you don't have to leave me a comment if that's the case. :)

All Good Things Must Come To An End.

No, I'm not talking about Top Chef.

Brittany is gone. Gone. Gone. Gone. Like the wind. Or maybe someone who couldn't pay her rent.

Not Brittany Spears, but the infamous Brittany, my upstairs-across neighbor. I heard a lot of racket earlier this evening going up and down the stairs, and I figured something was going on. My suspicions were confirmed when Ken came over and said, "Yep, it's true. Brittany is moving out."

So, in honor of Brittany and the many, many good times we had in the building, a little trip down memory lane. Alas, Brittany, we hardly knew ye. And we hardly knew the parade of boys that crossed your threshold. Although we probably knew them better than you did.

(Montage accompanied by the music of U2, "With or Without You")

  • The time you got all drunk on your balcony and yelled down to me and Jenn, "Hey! I've got a party in my pants!"
  • The many, many times you were outsmarted by your broom while sweeping your balcony and it flew out of your hands and off the balcony to the earth below.
  • The time you borrowed milk from your new BFF, Jennifer, to cook for your "brother" when in reality we ALL know it was for your baby.
  • The time Jennifer discovered you worked at Sonic and actually tipped you because she figured your baby still needed to be fed.
  • The Burrito Fairy. We know it was you.
  • The Sonic Fairy. Duh!
  • The time your baby-daddy started banging on your door at 2am displaying his natural charm by screaming "Let me in, Bitch! I know you're in there!"
  • During one of your many drunken parties everyone took it outside in the hall, and in your haste to get back into your apartment you walked into the wall.
  • Your massive high heels in which you CLOMPED CLOMPED CLOMPED down the stairs.
  • That time your baby-daddy told me and Jennifer about the time that his best friend shot him in the stomach.
  • You yelling at your maybe-three-year-old son to hurry up and drag those plastic bags full of groceries up the stairs. And getting mad when he wasn't fast enough.
  • The random articles of clothing left on the stairs.
  • The stupid drunk boys jumping off the roof.
  • The way you "parked" your car sideways when you would get home after a night out.
Wow. It's just not going to be the same. Oh well. Maybe a new, cute boy will move in. I'm good with neighbors. :)

It's Here! It's Here!

The third season of The Office was released today! Yay! I can't wait until the fourth season starts on September 27. I'm going to finally get my DVR fixed so I can record 'em.

I. Heart. The. Office.

Peanut, Peanut Butter!

I miss my Peter Pan. This Jif crap just isn't cutting it.

Time for bed. Nite nite.

What The Hell?

Did Nabisco 'Nilla Wafers get smaller, or did I just get bigger?? Seriously.

Tomorrow...You're Only A Day Away...

Well, it's about 11:00 on Monday night, and that means one thing. I have to go back to work tomorrow. I'm not really ready to go back yet. Don't get me wrong, I've had adequate time to rest and have fun. However, how do you get yourself psyched up to return to a job that you don't really enjoy anymore? It's hard writing about this, because I know that there are some managers at work who read this blog, and I don't want to worry them or hurt their feelings.

My feelings towards my current job have nothing to do with them. Actually, they're the reason I'm still hanging around.

Also, I'm a little disappointed in myself that I didn't spend my time off looking for a new job. And I didn't get my oil changed, like I was supposed to. Oh well.

I had a really boring but pleasant weekend. I spent almost all day Saturday and Sunday online, and my vacation was topped off Monday with a marathon of "Rock of Love" on VH1. That show is so embarrassing...but I love it!!

I finally made it to the grocery store today. I spent too much money and that has resulted in having about $20 to last me two weeks. Being poor sucks. I'd been craving bacon all weekend, so I had to fry some up tonight. I'm going to have a nice meaty bacon sandwich in a few minutes then I'm going to hit the sack. 5:00am is going to come awful early tomorrow.

Oh! I found a tick on Puddy tonight. Ewwww. Of course, I automatically grabbed hold of it and yanked it off him and ran it down the sink. After that, I got online and discovered that I did the opposite of what I was supposed to do, so now I'm convinced that Puddy is going to have some terrrible tick disease because of me. :( I've got to get him to the vet soon. Looks like it's going to have to be next week, since my only other day off this week is Wednesday and that's too soon to make an appointment. Thank God that Ken is paying for this first trip. I have no idea how I'm going to afford his heartworm meds. And he needs something to keep the ticks off of him!! Luckily, I haven't found any more.

Puds is asleep in his green chair right now...he's looking incredibly cute. Can't believe he had a tick sucking his blood out all stupid day!

I'm feeling incredibly old right now. I'm upset that Nick at Nite is showing a "Home Improvement" marathon. It's interfering with my normal nighttime routine!! Where is the Fresh Prince? I need the Fresh Prince to go to sleep! ARGH!

Okay...that's enough of an update for now. I have a hot date with a bacon sandwich. :)

OH....wait! I forgot! Today was Jennifers third day on her crazy diet! She sounds like she's doing great! I think maybe that's why I've been so hungry the past couple of days. Sympathy eating, you know. :)

Welcome to the World, Nora Ann Burgess!

Here are some pictures of my Nephew's new baby...She was born on July 25. She's gorgeous!

Late Night Surfing...

I've been busy following some weird links, and I came across this one: Confessions of A College Callgirl.

It's very interesting, to say the least. Go check it out.

JennKins

Jennifer was supposed to start her Kimkins diet today. I haven't heard from her, so hopefully all is going well. Or maybe she's lying on the floor in the fetal position from lack of anything substantial to eat?

Good luck, Jennifer!!

Just the FAQ's, ma'am!

Hey everyone! I discovered this website called Bravenet, and it has all of these really cool little things you can put on your blog. I just added a FAQs link over there to the right. It doesn't have much in it, but I plan on adding a lot to it tonight and over the holiday.

War! What is it Good For?

Absolutely everything if you're talking about the Jason Statham/Jet Li movie! I just saw it last night, and it was everything I expected, which was lame story, but awesome fight scenes and action sequences. Plus, I would probably pay money to go watch a film that consisted of Jason Statham just sitting in a chair for 131 minutes reading the dictionary. So, it's my opinion that he cannot make a bad film. That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.

There was little bit of a plot twist at the very very end which I didn't really like, but you just can't beat those two trying to to kick each other's ass.

I went out and rented "Blades of Glory" today. I loved it! I thought it was very very funny. I also got "Romeo Must Die" with Jet Li, but I haven't watched it yet. Something to do tomorrow, I guess.
