Hate.

Maybe it means I'm getting old. Maybe it means I'm a loser. Maybe it means I'm not getting any. I don't know. What I DO know is that I HATE WHEN NICK AT NITE FUCKS WITH THE LINEUP!

I started watching Nick at Night a loooong time ago when I was in probably high school. Nickelodeon had just started the whole "all night" thing (before that they went off the air at like ten or eleven), and they showed things like "The Donna Reed Show" and "Mr. Ed". That progressed, and soon they were in to "Green Acres", "Bewitched", "The Bob Newhart Show", "Happy Days", "Three's Company", and "Taxi". Then they started "Roseanne", "The Cosby Show", and "The Fresh Prince of Bellaire". So, for the past year or so, I've developed a whole bedtime routine surrounded by the shows on this channel.

Well, fasten your seatbelts, because Nick has now added "Home Improvement" and "The George Lopez Show" to it's lineup. Now, I did think that "Home Improvement" was funny in it's time, and I watched it in syndication, but it does NOT belong on Nick at Nite!!! And neither does the Lopez show. Jesus, it wasn't THAT long ago that the Lopez show was on prime-time!!

So, really, we have two things at work here. First and foremost, I don't like my routine changed. Secondly, I'm don't feel old enough to have shows that were prime-time while I was in my late twenties appear on Nick at Nite.

Ugh. I'm going to bed with the TV off. At least for tonight, that is. I have a bad feeling that I'm about to start enjoying George Lopez.

No, No, No. The reason you're upset is that those shows suck. Home Improvement was sort of funny when it was a clever idea. Now that you're all grown up, it sucks balls. And don't get me started on the George Lopez Show. Never seen it. Never will. But I can guarantee you that it's bad, bad, bad. In my mind they were coming close to the line with the Fresh Prince. Luckily the Carlton dance makes anything funny, so they're okay there. You're not old, those shows are just ass!
