Well, it's about 11:00 on Monday night, and that means one thing. I have to go back to work tomorrow. I'm not really ready to go back yet. Don't get me wrong, I've had adequate time to rest and have fun. However, how do you get yourself psyched up to return to a job that you don't really enjoy anymore? It's hard writing about this, because I know that there are some managers at work who read this blog, and I don't want to worry them or hurt their feelings.
My feelings towards my current job have nothing to do with them. Actually, they're the reason I'm still hanging around.
Also, I'm a little disappointed in myself that I didn't spend my time off looking for a new job. And I didn't get my oil changed, like I was supposed to. Oh well.
I had a really boring but pleasant weekend. I spent almost all day Saturday and Sunday online, and my vacation was topped off Monday with a marathon of "Rock of Love" on VH1. That show is so embarrassing...but I love it!!
I finally made it to the grocery store today. I spent too much money and that has resulted in having about $20 to last me two weeks. Being poor sucks. I'd been craving bacon all weekend, so I had to fry some up tonight. I'm going to have a nice meaty bacon sandwich in a few minutes then I'm going to hit the sack. 5:00am is going to come awful early tomorrow.
Oh! I found a tick on Puddy tonight. Ewwww. Of course, I automatically grabbed hold of it and yanked it off him and ran it down the sink. After that, I got online and discovered that I did the opposite of what I was supposed to do, so now I'm convinced that Puddy is going to have some terrrible tick disease because of me. :( I've got to get him to the vet soon. Looks like it's going to have to be next week, since my only other day off this week is Wednesday and that's too soon to make an appointment. Thank God that Ken is paying for this first trip. I have no idea how I'm going to afford his heartworm meds. And he needs something to keep the ticks off of him!! Luckily, I haven't found any more.
Puds is asleep in his green chair right now...he's looking incredibly cute. Can't believe he had a tick sucking his blood out all stupid day!
I'm feeling incredibly old right now. I'm upset that Nick at Nite is showing a "Home Improvement" marathon. It's interfering with my normal nighttime routine!! Where is the Fresh Prince? I need the Fresh Prince to go to sleep! ARGH!
Okay...that's enough of an update for now. I have a hot date with a bacon sandwich. :)
OH....wait! I forgot! Today was Jennifers third day on her crazy diet! She sounds like she's doing great! I think maybe that's why I've been so hungry the past couple of days. Sympathy eating, you know. :)

Bacon no longer holds any fascination for me. Of course, I'm eating turkey bacon (as I'm typing this as a matter of fact) and I'm pretty much over it. I know how you lose weight on this diet. You basically become bored with your food choices and just stop eating. The dogs love it though! They're not used to so many meat based table scraps!
Oh, and you can take Puddy to the vet even though it's only two days away. Unless the vet Ken has been using is like a doc or something. Usually, you can just show up.
I just finished off my bacon in a tasty bacon sandwich. Yummy. Good thing I bought two packs! I'm craving salt.
jenny's right- most vets don't take appts. anymore- which I find TOTALLY annoying- bit I understand why they have to do it. and OMG I can't even believe that pudster had a tick on him- the grass at the apt complex is totally low and the wrong kind- sure there are pine trees around....but really- are you sure it was a tick? we NEVER used any tick product for any of our dogs all the years they were in texas- anyway, heart worm sucks, but on the bright side- since you only have one- that $50 box is going to last you 6 MONTHS!! :) :) (vs. our 2 mo. or jenny's 3 mo.)
Well, it was a creepy bug and I had to pull it off of him. It definitely wasn't a flea, and it definitely had icky legs and stuff. It sure did look like some pics I found online. I'm trying to pretend he didn't have it on him. :)
