Here's Hoping it Turns Out Okay!

I decided to go ahead and make my own baby book. I had made up my mind that I was going to buy one, and just treat the daddy pages like regular old pages. You never know what might happen in the future, and I'm hoping that SOMEDAY there will be someone who wants that role. So I went to Target and looked around, and didn't find anything that I liked. There was just some stuff in there that I thought was ridiculous and not really like me at all. I happened to find myself walking down the "scrapbooking" isle, and I found some really cute s tuff. I started having a lot of ideas on how I could take a photo album and personalize it, and I decided to take that route. I figured it would be fun for me, too.

The album is a regular photo album, and I just bought paper, stickers, and card stock to build it up. The photo printer that Jennifer gave me for Christmas a few years ago is really coming in handy, because I can print things out so easily and whenever I want! I have to buy a new print cartridge, but that's besides the point! The coolest thing is that I can write whatever I want! The only thing I have so far is the first page, and it's just a page telling about when I learned I was pregnant, etc. It was pretty emotional for me when I wrote it, and that kind of caught me off guard. It was also pretty emotional when I signed it "Mommy." No one has ever called me that before. :)

See -- everybody made fun when I just mentioned how cute some of the stuff was on the scrapbooking aisle. Now look! You get a pass because you're pregnant, but I'm going to remember this and bring it up in the future to make fun of you!

Book looks awesome by the way. I think it's perfect.

What I'm doing is NOT scrapbooking. No siree. Uh-uh. Nope. No way. It's BEING CREATIVE. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. :)
