First off, the ankle seems to be better. It hurt really bad this afternoon at work for a couple of hours, but after I got home and rested a bit it started to feel better. I'm starting to feel more confident that it's not broken. However, now I'm convinced that a blood clot will form and I'll die. Pregnancy makes you think of weird things. :)
This last Sunday I saw The Incredible Hulk. The movie, not the actual Hulk, mind you. :) I was kind of bored. It was a good movie, but it was no Iron Man, that's for sure. I've been trying to decide what bugged me about it, and it finally hit me. I don't think I like Ed Norton in the role of good guy. He'll always be the smarmy bad guy from The Italian Job. I didn't think he had very good chemistry with Liv Tyler, and I thought that the attempted humor in spots fell flat. But it looked really good! Two spots made me smile, and then I immediately felt old because I understood them: At one point Ed Norton's character (Bruce) is watching TV and the show that's on is The Courtship Of Eddie's Father which of course starred Bill Bixby, the original Bruce. The second one is when Bruce is trying to sneak into this University and he bribes the guard who is being played by Lou Ferrigno (if that's how you spell his name), who as you all probably know (because you're as old as me) was the original Hulk on the TV show. Both of those times I kind of laughed and nudged Ken. Both times he looked at me like, "What? Let me watch the damn movie!" Whatever.
There were previews again for the new Batman movie, and I really want to see that, too. There are lots of movies coming out this summer that I want to see, actually. Hopefully I'll be able to fit them all in before the baby comes.
