Is it too late to change my mind?

I went to the hospital today to finish registering for when the baby is born. I had done most of it online, but I had to sign some consent forms. I had to sign two sets of identical forms, one for me, and one for the baby.

Mine went fine, but when I got to the other copy, it really hit me. Especially when I had to sign in the place that said "Person Responsible for Patient", and even MORE so when I had to put down what my relationship to the patient was. I had to write "mother" in that blank, and it felt very weird and intimidating, and made me think WHAT KIND OF A WORLD HAS DEEMED ME FIT TO BE A MOTHER? ACK!!!!!!!! I CAN'T EVEN GET MY TRUCK INSPECTED ON TIME!

So, what did I do? Got myself a chicken sandwich from McDonalds.

Now, I'm off to my ultrasound appointment. I'll post some pics when I get back.

Chicken sandwiches always make things better!
Besides, if everyone waited till they were "ready" to be a parent, human beings would have died out a long time ago.
