Here it is, New Years Eve. The par-tay day of the year.
Well, this year I'm willingly going to celebrate New Year's Eve "old lady" style, minus the cats and old person smell. Well, I'm not too sure about the smell. My apartment is full of weird smells with the baby and all, you know.
A few weeks ago I arranged with my parents to keep the baby for the WHOLE night. Jennifer and I were going to get together and do something, but what I really want to do most in the entire world is stay home, clean my apartment, and enjoy the quiet. Some celebration, huh? Good thing Jennifer had the same idea! Is it so weird to really just want to clean? I don't get to very often with the baby here, and it's going to be so nice to be able to make noise and wash sheets and all of that stuff! I'm almost embarrassed at how excited I am!
I got to leave work a little early today, so right now I'm waiting on the UPS person to get here. Then I'm going to go to the grocery store and buy old lady supplies for a rockin' New Years Eve: beer, champagne, and toilet bowl cleaner. Maybe I'll splurge and throw in a frozen pizza and some ice cream. You never know when it comes to me!!
On a side note, I'm going to miss Del horribly, but it is going to be nice to go to sleep and not wake up for several hours in a row! He is doing so great. He's going to be crawling very very soon. His favorite thing to do now is lay on the floor. He just rolls around making baby noises. Sometimes he watches TV. I usually keep the TV on the Noggin channel. It's really a great channel. It's basically for preschoolers, and all of the programming is educational and pretty calming. He loves that "Yo Gabba Gabba" show, which I used to find annoying. Since it keeps him quiet I now think it's the best show in the freaking history of shows. Funny how it works that way, huh? (I just realized that the first part of this paragraph sounds like a second grader wrote it. Sorry.)
Anyways, I'm sure I'll be posting more tonight. But if I don't, everyone have a happy and safe New Year!!!!! The old lady party starts at 6pm, and will be over by 9pm. :)
