So, at the grocery store the other day I decided that I was craving some of those Mother's Circus Animal Cookies. You know, the little pink and white cookies in the shape of animals with the sprinkles on top. I haven't eaten any since I was like twelve, but for some reason I really really wanted some.
Guess what? They didn't have any! I've been thinking about them ever since.
So, I finally looked it up on the internet, and it turns out that Mother's Cookies went out of business! Nooooooooo!!! No wonder the cookies at Kroger were all on sale! Damn. I mean, I knew that the economy was sucking, but did it have to affect the cookie industry too???
I'm depressed. Wish I had some Circus Animal Cookies to ease my pain.
Ugh, I just remembered the fudge cookies were really good, too.
Edited to Add: OMG I just read a blurb about this cookie horrible-ness on DListed. I posted here first! Promise!!! Anyways...Looks like Kellogg bought the recipies!!! Yay!!!

yum.mothers.cookies! I saw something on dlisted awhile ago about the fact that they were not making them anymore...but now like he said - that recipe is GOLD and will live on! Yay! Those things are SO 1975. It's like they were the only cookie we ever had back then! :) Those and maybe fig newtons!
What, did you just have a baby or something? How did you not know the news about Mothers Cookies weeks ago? Must have been taking care of a screaming infant or something!!
