Random Thoughts

• Yeah, it's been, like, a month since I updated this blog. I've been busy, k? :)
• I've had a really bad case of the "crud" for the past few days. I think it's "Inventory Influenza". My doc put me on antibiotics, and I feel a bit better, but still feel that general grossness that goes along with being under the weather.
• Speaking of inventories, they are over for the year! Yay!!! Inventories SUCK. There is nothing positive about that experience. Well, usually someone brings in a cake or homemade cookies, so I guess that's a positive. Whatever.
• I still miss 'Lil Kim on DWTS. (did I put the apostrophe in the correct spot? I never know.)
• I was disappointed that Ty went last week, even though it was deserved.
• I watched "Celebrity Apprentice" this season and was really disappointed with who won. Since no one reading this blog would ever watch this show besides me, or at least they would never ADMIT to watching, I'll spoil it for you. Joan Rivers. JOAN RIVERS. She actually quit during a previous episode when her daughter, Melissa, was fired. (Now, Melissa...there's a piece of work. I think the only thing I liked about Melissa's appearance on the show was when she referred to one of the other contestants as a "Whore Pit Viper", whatever that means.) So, anyway, Joan came back and then beat Annie Duke in the finale.
• I've recently become a little bit addicted to Facebook. I know, I know...dumb. But it wastes time like a mofo, and there is this app called "Farm Town" that I really like. What's next, Twitter???
• I can't believe the Wolverine movie has been out this long and I haven't seen it yet.
• "True Blood" June 14... WHOO HOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
• Nathan Fillion was hot when he was on "One Life to Live" and he's still hot on that "Castle" show. Well, at least he's hot during the commercials for that "Castle" show since I haven't actually watched an episode.
• Can you believe that Delyn is almost a year old?!?!? Time flies when all you do is work, change diapers, and fight for child support.
• There are times when I actually miss being pregnant.
• I have no idea who "Lady Gaga" is. I'm old.
• I remember the days when I used to be able to go into Kroger, buy my shit, and get the hell out. Well, those days are over. Want a sure-fire way to attract attention? Well, go shopping with a cute baby! Yes, I know that everyone thinks their baby is cute, yadda yadda. But I swear, Delyn has so many fans at Kroger. We were stopped TWICE in the parking lot on the way INTO the store so his female fans could oogle and coo at him. Then, twice more in the store. Don't get me wrong, it's flattering and I am one proud mommy, but sometimes you just want to buy your grapes, tampons, and toilet bowl cleaner without being noticed! The cool thing is that D just stared at them with his special stare, as if to say, "Can't you see we're in a hurry?"There was one particular groupie of his today that caught us right as we walked in. She was talking "baby talk" in this weird language that could have been Spanish, might have been Chinese, I don't know. Anyways, she kept repeating the same thing, and I was beginning to get worried she was casting some kind of evil juju on my kid. She was very nice, but after about the fifth time she said, in English, "I will pay money for him!" I just kind of strolled him away. Yeah, that was weird.
• Willie and Jennifer will NEVER update their blogs, so, I carry the torch alone. Here's one for my homies.
