Okay, so I've had a couple of beers and I'm watching the Dancing With The Stars finale. This is part where Celine Dion is singing, so I thought I would post.

This will be sappy, but get over it. You might even see a few more posts like this. Sue me. :) And so what if I heard Ken get home about 30 minutes ago, and it's made me a little bit sad. Albeit probably not as sad had I not consumed some adult beverages.

I've been sitting here on the couch for the past hour thinking about my new place, and I'm really excited about it. I'm totally picturing me and Puddy, sitting on my couch, in my pj's, drinking some beer, watching my new AT&T cable (hope it doesn't suck), and NOT hearing anyone's footsteps or wondering if someone's truck is outside.

When I think about it, seriously, I realize that I've grown up a bit since I've been in this apartment. A lot has happened to me. Some good, some bad. But, at least something happened!!

I'm a Store Manager now, and I'm really starting to feel like one. And I think that I'm good at it, too. I still have a lot to learn, but the things that made me a bit nervous aren't really making me nervous at all.

I also feel, for the first time in a long time, that I have a whole bunch of people who genuinely care about me. And you know what? That ROCKS!! I have work relationships that have really transcended the "work" mark, and I'm so lucky. Jacques and Angy are friends for life. Jennifer has totally been there for me, as well as Ramona and Brad. And Jenni! I finally reconnected with her! Also, I finally got to speak with Susan (who used to be my boss at Blockbuster back in the day!), and it's so cool to talk with and old friend for the first time in ages and have it feel like no time has passed at all.

So, I guess what I'm saying is that even though this past year has been the hardest year of my life (so far!)personally and professionally, there really have been some positive things that have happened.

I've lost weight, I've actually dated a bit (can you believe that? DATED!?!), got promoted, got a DOG, and there ya go!

So, here's to family and good friends!! Thanks to everyone who has had to listen to me bitch!!!

And I really look forward to me and Puddy, sitting on my couch, in my pj's, drinking some beer, watching my new AT&T cable (hope it doesn't suck).
