And Baby Makes Three!

I haven't quite made it bed yet. I got sidetracked reading about how to introduce your new baby to your pet. Among other things, it's recommended that you get a CD of normal baby sounds (crying, cooing, etc.), and sporadically play it for your pet about two months before the baby's arrival. Makes total sense, right?

You would think you could find these types of CD's at PetSmart or Petco, but noooooo....I can't find them! You guys keep an eye out and let me know if you see one somewhere!

I'm not really worried for the baby when it comes to Puddy. I'm more worried about Puddy! He's going to be so jealous. He's already jealous when I talk on the phone or even have the computer in my lap. What the heck is he going to when a baby joins us?!?

One site suggested that I put a little bit of baby powder or baby oil on my hands and let him sniff at it a little bit so he can get used to the baby smell. Also, they suggest bringing a shirt or blanket (that the baby has worn) home first, and let the animal get the baby's scent. All good advice, if you ask me!

I think he'll be okay, I just want to make it as easy as I can for him. Once we all get to know each other, I think the three of us will be a happy family!

Okay, NOW it's time for bed!!!

The CD thing sounds cool, I think a shirt before baby comes home is a little excessive- maybe if you had a pit-bull-rottweiller-doberman-wolf mix dog and not the Pudster! :)
