I'm finally beginning to feel pregnant. Mostly I feel it when I try to roll over while I'm sleeping. It's really weird. My center of gravity has shifted a bit, and it takes an effort to switch sides. It's also harder for me to get up from a sitting position, especially if I'm on the couch. My stomach feels pretty tight when you press on it, which is weird. I still haven't felt any REAL movement, but each day brings new hope.
I have to go have another ultrasound in two weeks. The tech couldn't see the heart very well, so the doctor wants to wait two weeks and try again, when the baby is bigger. The nurse said not to worry, and it was probably just because the baby wasn't in a good position to see detail. She said they have to bring women back in a lot because the baby doesn't cooperate. Even though she said not to worry, I'm gonna worry. I can't help it.
She said that the heartbeat was strong, and everything else was good. As of that day, he weighed a whopping 1/2 pound!! Also, my blood test came back negative, so it looks like I'm in the clear for Downs Syndrome.
I'm going to start making a list of all the baby crap I need. It's very overwhelming!

You need to go to Babies R Us or somewhere like that and register for crap. I mean, you may end up buying some of it yourself, but at least we'll know what you need. You never know when I might drive by a baby store and feel like shopping! : )
Just have a baby shower! I think you're only supposed to have the one with your first child anyway....so take advantage of it!! :) :) Shower shower shower!
Yeah, she's probably having one in June or something. But still she's going to need a lot of crap! One good thing, no one has to buy Tiffanie any books! The little tyke can get all his Goldenbooks from his mom -- at a discount!
That means the rest of us get to buy him annoying loud toys -- like drum sets! : )
And clothes! We have been looking at the CUTEST little boy clothes.....FUN FUN FUN! :) And that's really cool about books - you have the perfect job Tiffanie!! :)
Working in a bookstore is great. A little boy with a drum set is not. :) My baby bargain book says to avoid shopping in stores with "baby" in the name. Apparantly they're more expensive. I'm about to go shop around online and start a list, so we'll see.
