True Blood

I just realized that I didn't post my thoughts on the new HBO Series, "True Blood."

Two words: Loved it!

Some of the "southern" accents are a little bit off at times, but so far I really like this show. For those of you who don't know, this show is based on a series of books by Charlaine Harris. I never thought I would like the vampire genre, but I really enjoyed these books. I think the first season is staying true to the first book. So far my favorite character is Tara. They've changed her character a little bit from the book, but so far I love her. Here is the scene where we are introduced to her:

I also really like the show's theme song. I just downloaded it from iTunes. If you haven't watched yet, go check out the first two episodes on HBO On Demand.

On an unrelated note, I recently saw the newest Jason Statham movie called "Death Race." It was pretty good. Violent, bloody, action packed, and Jason Statham shirtless doing pull-ups in prison! Now that's my idea of a great movie! What made it extra special was that they served beer at the movie theater! Speaking of Jason Statham, this guy makes a new movie like every week!! I can't figure it out! There was also a preview for a new "Fast and the Furious" movie. This one has Vin Diesel and that other blonde dude from the original. Looks like a lot of the cast is back from the first one.

I'll have to be sure to check that one out. :)
